Refreshing Guava White Tea Lemonade

The weather is finally warming up and all I can think about today is this amazingly refreshing guava white tea lemonade!

Growing up, we had at least 3 different guava trees in our yard and I remember, plucking the fruits of the trees and enjoying the ripe delicious fruits. If you have had the original iced guava white tea lemonade from Starbucks, then you know why this drink is such a big deal. It is light, refreshing with a delicious guava’ish’ sweetness and hint of lemon. This Starbucks guava drink is so good!!

Ok, so I know guava’ish’ is not a real word. For those who have not tasted guava before and are curious: guava tastes almost like a cross between a strawberry and a pear. There are many varieties of guava and I would hate to lump how they taste into just one category, however, this is a good starting point.

Unfortunately, Starbucks has discontinued this particular lemonade and replaced it with the Iced Guava Black Tea. Not to worry, even though this Starbucks guava drink is no longer available, you will be able to make your own guava white tea lemonade at home with the recipe I will be sharing.

The great thing about the recipe I am about to share with you today is that it is really easy to make, and you get to determine how sugary sweet you would like it to be. I decided to skip the sugar from my drink because I felt the guava juice and lemonade already had enough sugar – but feel free to add more sugar if you like.

Also, you could make your own lemonade from scratch – that way you have even more control over how much sugar you used in the guava white tea lemonade.

In the recipe below, I suggested that the white tea be steeped for at least 7 minutes so that you can get a slightly stronger tea flavor. However, if you still find that it is not strong enough, you can steep a few more teabags with the same amount of hot water and continue with the recipe as written.

How to Enjoy this Guava White Tea Lemonade

Once you make this lemonade at home, you won’t need to head out for a Starbucks Guava drink! You will be able to make as much as you want, and change it up however you choose to.

Now if you really want to spoil yourself, consider making these mouth-watering pastelitos de guayaba puff pastry treats. It is technically a puff pastry treat that is filled with guava paste and cream cheese. It comes together in about 30-40 mins and is the perfect snack or breakfast!

Can you imagine yourself on the porch with a tall iced cold homemade Starbucks guava drink plus these guava puff pastry treats? sigh….

Does the Guava White Tea Lemonade have caffeine?

Yes. White Tea contains some caffeine, so naturally the Guava White Tea Lemonade will also have some caffeine in it, White tea contains about 6-55 mg of caffeine per 250ml cup while Black tea contains about 47-90 mg of caffeine per 250ml cup

Does Starbucks still have the Guava White Tea?

Unfortunately Starbucks has discontinued all white tea beverages (including the Guava White Tea Lemonade). They do however now offer an Iced Guava Black Tea instead

What are your thoughts about this homemade Starbucks guava drink? Will you be trying it out? It is such an easy recipe I think you should try it out, and please leave me a comment below if you do.
